In conjunction with Seatronics Ltd, Rent IT have secured a major contract to provide a wide range of IT equipment to Offshore Contractor Saipem. | ||
As part of the contract Saipem have purchased around 15 - 20 customised computers along with a wide range of other IT equipment such as A1 plotters, Displays, storage systems and more. | ||
For use on an Offshore Vessel, Saipem chose Rent IT as a supplier due to our experience in designing and manufacturing custom computer systems for this demanding environment, as well as the very tight delivery timescales involved. Rent IT have for many years been designing and selling (as well as renting) custom designed computer systems to a wide range of clients operating Offshore on installations and vessels throughout the world. | ||
Based on our existing i5 based Shuttle computers and i7 Workstations these units were provided with a range of additional drives, RAID arrays, interface boards and software to meet the clients specific requirements. | ||
Having been successfully designed and constructed within a very short timescale all this equipment has now been delivered and is already at work on a Vessel off the West Coast of Africa. | ||
