News - 2005 September Rent IT - Now bigger and better! After several months of planning and construction Rent IT have now moved into new premises adjacent to the main Seatronics Ltd building. Previous located in a separate building "over the road" the Rent IT facility had expanded somewhat ad hoc to meet the growing volume of computer rental business. With business expanding rapidly it was evident that a major step forward was required. Whilst redevelopment of the existing Rent IT building was a possibility when the opportunity came to acquire premises right next to the existing Seatronics building the opportunity was too good to miss. With an overall area of over 6,000 square feet split between approx 2,500 square feet of offices and workshop with a further 3,500 square feet of warehousing facilities this should meet expansion plans for several years to come. Of course for effective maintenance and servicing of our IT equipment we need more than just space! This move has allowed us to build and outfit our workshops exactly as required. Extensive work benches have been installed to allow space for existing technicans, and future employees, to work in comfort. A full range of power and networking facilities have been installed with 1Gb networking through the workshops all linked to a dedicated server system fully backed up by dual UPS systems. Our link to the external world has not been skimped on either and a new dedicated line has been added purely for the requirements of Rent IT and totally separate from the "standard" office link in order that we can maintain full bandwith for Rent IT activities.
