Our contact details - Just so you know who to place your order with!
12) What periods can I rent for ?
One of the advantages of rental is the flexibility. Rent IT offer rental terms from as short as 3 days up to 3 years. Within the first year we can quote for a rental period from 3 to 365 days. After this it is normally 1, 2 or 3 year rentals. In most cases whatever your requirement we can quote a suitable rate.
13) Do I pay for all days in a week ?
Yes our weeks have seven days not five so you pay for every day even if you are not using the equipment at the weekend.
After all if you have it we cannot rent it to anybody else!
14) Why can I not rent for one day ?
We operate a three day minimum as this is often most practical for our clients. A one day rental would have your equipment arriving in the morning and being collected in the evening. Using standard couriers this is just not practical. Our 3 day term often costs little more than many of our competitor's single day and provides less stress to our clients.
15) Why is short term rental so expensive when compared with long term ?
With any rental, whether 3 days, 3 weeks or 3 months or more we have a fixed overhead cost for getting the equipment prepared, raising paperwork, despatching, invoicing and checking equipment on return.
With a short term rental these costs are spread over a very short period, on a long term rental these are over a far longer period.
As an example if our fixed cost for a rental is £60.00 then on a 3 days rental £20.00/day will be covering this cost and the rest for the equipment. On a 60 day rental then only £1.00/day is then covering the fixed cost.
Other cost do come into the quotation however this is the main reason that short term rental is more expensive.
If a competitor is offering you short term rental at very low rates then you should ask yourself what sort of support service he can offer? Our fixed costs represent a realistic charge based on maintaining considerable resources of staff and equipment to support our customers. If others offer lower costs then perhaps you will be receiving a lower stand of service?
16) What delivery options are there ?
We use standard nationwide couriers to carry out our deliveries. We use a number of different companies however deliveries can be roughly broken down as follows:-
Standard next day - Just what it says, this can arrive at any time up to 5.00 or 5.30pm on day of delivery.
Pre Noon - Delivery will be made before Midday
Pre 10.00 or 10.30 - As it says delivery before 10.00 or 10.30am depending on the couriers.
Pre 9.00am - Again just what it says, however please note that this could arrive any time after 7.00am. You better be in early!
17) Can I get Insurance cover for equipment during rental ?
No, unfortunately due to present legislation we cannot provide any form of insurance cover for items on rental. This is an area we are constantly looking at and some level of service may be available in the future.
At present you should ensure that you have existing cover through your buildings/content policies or arrange specific cover with your insurance broker.
Remember you are responsible for safe keeping and return of our products. Failure to do so can result in charges for repair and/or replacement up to the full value of the product
18) What are all these terms and condition ?
When you rent equipment from us you are entering into a contract where you pay money and we provide a service. As with any contract the terms and conditions are there so both parties know what to expect from each other.
It is up to you to be aware of these terms and conditions, if you have any specific questions regarding these please ask our sales staff before placing your order.
