Rent IT stock the HP ultrium1840 ( LTO 4 ) , the HP ultrium 960 external tape drives ( LTO 3 ) and the HP ultrium 460 external tape drives ( LTO 2 ). All LTO ultrium tape drives are shipped with SCSI I/F cables and a cleaning tape. The Ultrium 960 LTO3 rental allows backup of 400GB uncompressed storage at up to 80MB/s (up to 800GB with compression at up to 160MB/s) and the Ultrium 960 tape drives can read all generations of LTO media, but can only write to LTO-2 and LTO-3 media The Ultrium 460 LTO2 rental allows backup of 200GB uncompressed storage at up to 30MB/s (up to 400GB with compression at up to 60MB/s) and the Ultrium 460 tape drives can read and write to LTO-1 and LTO-2 media The tape drive LTO 2 autoloader enables large volumes of data to be backed up over multiple tape media. Interface connection for the tape autoloader is 68 pin scsi. The DLT 40 80 rental offers a native uncompressed capacity of 40GB and a transfer speed of 6MB/s. The DLT 40 80 rental tape drives requires DLTtape IV data cartidges.   The SDLT 320 tape drives have been added to the Rent IT rental pool to take advantage of the larger capacity and faster transfer rates that the SDLT technologies offer. SDLT 320 rental offers 160GB of uncompressed storage at transfer rates of 16MB/s. Compression enables up to 320GB of storage and up to 32MB/s on Super DLT tape 1 media. The SDLT tape drive is also backward compatible with certain DLT tapes, for read only purpose, as long as the storage tape was recorded without compression.
